Eden, 2024 - ★★★

Eden, 2024 - ★★★

Not bad. Fun characters and an interesting premise but it dragged. Didn't keep me engaged. A film about neighbourly conflict. A good ending though.

Send Help, 2026 - ★★★

Send Help, 2026 - ★★★

I struggled to get into this in a meaningful way. Showed some promise at the start, and McAdams plays her character brilliantly. But most of the island scenes felt inauthentic and lacking in any substance. It entertained in parts, but it played out pretty predictably. Not a believable ending. A fun date night film though.

I Came By, 2022 - ★★★

I Came By, 2022 - ★★★

An OK suspense home invasion film. Couldn't take Mr Brown as the bad guy seriously at all, even when he was doing evil things. Decent plot but it unfolded pretty much exactly how you'd expect. The first death was a bit of a shocker, whilst also a comedy momen. The subsequent ones not so much. Enjoyable enough.

Anniversary, 2025 - ★★★½

Anniversary, 2025 - ★★★½

Chilling in it portrayal of the unravelling of a strained but loving family unit. The antagonist is excellent, she gave me chills from her first scene. The husband and wife were brilliant. Increasing disfunction and resentment gave a sense of dread and unease. The story lacked some contextual details, but I can see why they chose to omit and leave intentionally ambiguous. A cautionary tale of what our politicical systems can become.

Ratatouille, 2007

Ratatouille, 2007

Cute film. Rewatched with the kids. Working our way through Disney+'s extensive collection.

Yesterday, 2019 - ★★★★

Yesterday, 2019 - ★★★★

Can't quite work out what Ed Sheeran and his shaky acting is doing in this movie, but the leads are excellent. An obvious ode to the Beatles, very cute, but just a thoroughly enjoyable watch and listen along. Hey, it's not to he taken seriously, the plot is obvious, but the cast is brilliant and it was a lot of fun.

WALL·E, 2008 - ★★★★

WALL·E, 2008 - ★★★★

Rewatched with youngest. Still a great film.

Wake Up Dead Man, 2025 - ★★★½

Wake Up Dead Man, 2025 - ★★★½

Entertaining, and surprisingly engaging for its length. But it's very wordy, and very religious. Got lost in its prose a few times. But Craig with his sparkling wit saves the day. A fun mystery that keeps you guessing till the end.
